The Value Of Flow

According to the laws of the jungle an animal facing danger will either flee or stand rigidly still. As humans we also tend to face issues the same way. However in most conditions we will flee, either physically or in our mind. On the surface this may seem to be a logical move, but when viewed under the laws of metaphysics it is often the worst course of action.

There is an old axiom that I picked up during my days in military service that says: “A moving target is hard to hit.” That may hold up under military conditions but it does not serve one well in civilian life. The reason is very simple. Coursing through us is a universal flow of energy. It give us the power to think, move and create. Under the conditions of a normal day, we use this power constantly without thinking about it. Under stress or threatening conditions however, we tend to desert that power and flee, turning our self into a victim on the run. The act of running shuts off almost all of one’s universal flow since the body and mind are focused on escape and, in doing so, we relinquish the benefit of receptivity that is readily available from universal source. Worst of all, in the process of fleeing we cannot think clearly. That prevents us from evaluating the situation and working out a solution while perceiving the “danger” in logical terms to which we can likely find a solution.

People flee from more than physical danger. They flee from their job, they flee from their responsibilities and they flee from their relationship, just to name a few. Regardless, in every case the issue remains constant and the weakness does not go away.

Learning to face a problem takes courage and just as universal flow gives us creativity, so too does it give us the courage we need to stand still and face the problem. This is a lesson that we all must learn in our lifetime and without that knowledge we shall come back and go through this exercise all over again.

Follow the Law: Be still. Call upon the courage of your faith and know that the power of the Universe moves through you. Your antagonist will soon relent and you will be free. – GT
