Thanksgiving Prayer 2005

December 27, 2005 at 4:14:15 a.m.

Dear God: I come before you once again as I have done so many years before to give thanks for all of my blessings. In truth, those blessings are more than plentiful and I never forget that my cup runneth over.

The world has troubles but there are still good people committed to the higher purpose of life. I am thankful that voices of dissent can still be heard; that there are those who have great vision even in the darkness; that Love in its infinite and manifesting form is still the foundation on which our spirit stands. In short, it is not a good world and it is not a bad world. It is OUR world and I am thankful for the opportunity and the task to make it as vital, as beautiful, as uplifting and as honest as I can.

So, I thank you for the wisdom and patience you provide and use this special day to remember that I am never apart from you or that those I pass on this road of life are part of my family. There is no place for judgment that will impair my commitment to making the road we travel free from the obstacles implanted by those whose greed for power and wealth would dissuade us from fulfilling our highest purpose…GT
